Country superstar Garth Brooks has announced Houston's NRG Stadium as the last stop of his North American stadium tour, according to a press release issued by his management.

Brooks will hold the concert on Aug. 6 at 7 p.m., with tickets to go on sale Friday, per the release.

The release said that the 60-year-old Brooks will to return to Houston for the first time in more than seven years.

He explained to Houston CBS affiliate KHOU that he was inspired to embark on a stadium tour after he drew sold-out crowds at the 2018 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR), telling the station it'll be fitting to end the tour at the same venue.

"I'm so proud of this," the singer said. "It's gonna come full circle. Couldn't think of a better place to start it and finish it. I can't wait, Houston."

Brooks' release said that the show will have in-the-round seating and customers will be limited to eight tickets a purchase.

Tickets can be purchased either by visiting ticketmaster.com/garthbrooks, contacting the Garth Brooks line at Ticketmaster which is (877) 654-2784, or through the Ticketmaster smartphone app.

All seats are reserved and cost $98.95 all-inclusive, per the release.

The events section of Brooks' website shows that the concerts preceding the Houston date and others afterward are sold out.

According to his biography, Brooks, whose hits include "Friends in Low Places" and "The Thunder Rolls," remains the top-selling solo artist in U.S. history, tallying nearly 160 million album sales.
