Smartie Pants Academy Center has issued the following press release:

Houston, TX- Houston's first special needs daycare facility celebrated National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month this past Saturday, with the Grand Opening of their second location in Katy. The new location comes after having a continuous growing waitlist of more than 50 students. Smartie Pants Academy Center Owner/Executive Director, Dr. Sumiko Hamilton-Hervey, excitedly cut the ribbon for the new Katy location as guests, family and friends poured in to tour the facility that will be able to house more than 100 children.

With March being National Disability Awareness Month & April being National Autism Awareness Month, Dr. Hamilton-Hervey wanted to ensure her students and parents were able to celebrate Smartie Pants' milestone. Children enjoyed snow-cones, face painting, hot dogs, bouncy houses, sack races, music, and train rides during the festivities. Parents were able to enroll their students on-site as well as view the new classrooms, cafeteria, and sensory rooms for their children.

Keep up with Smartie Pants on social media on Instagram @smartiepantshou as they plan to open 2 more locations before the end of 2023.
