Clark Construction Group has announced the launch of its Strategic Partnership Program (SPP) in the Greater Houston area, benefiting over fifty local small business owners and leaders. The program is aimed at nurturing and guiding small and diverse businesses, and it complements the firm's SDBE15 initiative. Clark Construction Group has a long history of delivering landmark projects in Houston and throughout Texas, including the William P. Hobby Airport New East Concourse and Main Terminal Expansion, 1500 Louisiana Avenue, and the George Bush International Airport Federal Inspection Services Building.

The SPP was established by Clark Construction Group in 2006 to equip small and diverse enterprises with the expertise and resources needed to excel in significant construction ventures. The program's launch in Houston began with a comprehensive orientation on October 2, led by Dr. Leonard Greenhalgh from Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business. Since its establishment, the program has expanded to nine different markets nationwide, with over 1,500 small business owners and leaders successfully graduating.

Cara Lanigan, the chief executive officer of Clark's Central Group, emphasized the importance of small and diverse firms in the construction industry. Lanigan stated, "Small businesses bring skilled trade expertise that is essential to our success as a builder and allows us to deliver important assets that positively impact our communities." The launch of the Strategic Partnership Program in Houston demonstrates Clark Construction Group's commitment to the city and its long-term investment in growing small businesses in the region.

The SPP curriculum combines instruction from Clark experts and local industry specialists, covering various aspects of business and the construction industry. It includes topics such as financial matters, insurance, estimating, procurement, and project oversight. The program also focuses on essential business skills like networking and presentation techniques. The culmination of the program is an intensive capstone project and presentation.

Clark Construction Group's Strategic Partnership Program in Houston aims to support and empower local small businesses, providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to thrive in the construction industry. Through this program, Clark Construction Group continues its legacy of delivering landmark projects while fostering economic growth and diversity in the Houston area.
