On a day when C.J. Stroud saw his interception count more than double, the Houston Texans still managed to eke out a win over the visiting Arizona Cardinals 21-16. This exciting event occurred on November 19th, marking for the first time since 2019 that the once-downtrodden Texans now have six victories with the first year of DeMeco Ryans’ tenure about to enter the final stretch.

Recalling the game's opening, Just like against the Cincinnati Bengals last week, the Texans started the afternoon of Nov. 19 down to Arizona before assuming control of the contest. Stroud, the second overall pick in last spring’s draft, turned in another 300-passing yard effort but threw three interceptions, according to a report on the team’s website. After building a 21-10 lead at the half, Houston turned to its defense to stave off a Cardinals’ second-half rally.

Moving forward with details about Stroud's performance, According to Sports Illustrated (SI), even on what was arguably his worst day of the season, Stroud threw for 336 passing yards and two touchdowns, one to fellow rookie Nathaniel "Tank" Dell and the other to tight end Dalton Schultz.

Switching gears to discuss how Houston held their lead, As previously mentioned, after Houston plunked down 21 points, it relied on its defense to secure the victory, their third straight since the thriller over Tampa Bay Buccaneers two weeks ago. Defense back Steven Nelson snuffed out Kyler Murray’s attempt at a go-ahead touchdown pass with not much left in game time according to Texans' X account.
