Houston Texans rookie wide receiver, Tank Dell, did not take the news of his former coach's termination lightly. Dana Holgorsen, his former coach at the University of Houston (UH), was let go after five seasons, following UH's dismal debut as a Big XII Conference program.

Shifting focus to Dell's achievements,

Citing the Texans’ website, Houston Daily reported that Dell amassed 199 receptions for 2,727 yards and 29 touchdowns during his previous two seasons under Holgorsen in the Third Ward.
The publication reported Dell was originally a student-athlete at Alabama A&M University (AAMU) and transferred to Independence Community College (ICC) in Kansas in 2019 before ultimately heading to UH in 2020.
Since his Week 2 start against division rival Indianapolis, Dell has evolved into a go-target for rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Moving onto the circumstances surrounding Holgorsen's dismissal, Houston Daily reported that UH fired Holgorsen on Nov. 26, with a statement from the university saying a search for his replacement has already commenced.
"We are committed to finding a leader who shares our vision of excellence in athletics, academics, and community engagement," UH Vice President of Athletics Chris Pezman said in the statement. "We look forward to this new era of University of Houston football."

Focusing now on more recent events involving both Dell and his team, Holgorsen’s departure added to what was already a bad Sunday for Dell, whose Texans failed to move into first place in the American Football Conference (AFC) South after dropping a 24-21 heartbreaker to the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars.
Houston is slated to host Denver Broncos on Dec. 3, a game NFL pushed forward from 3:25 p.m. to noon in order to attract more viewers.
