The Houston Texans recently faced the formidable defense of the New York Jets. With aspirations of advancing in the playoffs, the Texans aimed to secure a victory at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. However, C.J. Stroud and his team found it challenging to overcome a top 10 defense, resulting in a 30-6 defeat by their hosts.

The initial half of this rain-drenched encounter was an absolute treat for defense enthusiasts as neither team managed to score against each other by halftime. Stroud, who was the second overall pick in last spring's draft, was restricted to double digits in passing yards. The absence of Tank Dell and Dalton Schultz significantly impacted one of the league's most dynamic offenses. According to a report on the Texans' website, Stroud himself joined Houston's increasing list of injuries after suffering a concussion with barely seven minutes remaining in the game, forcing him to leave.

The same report stated that Stroud ended the afternoon with an uncharacteristic 91 yards on 10 for 23 passing yards. Although he did not throw an interception, he was sacked four times as per the report. It remains uncertain whether Stroud will be available for the away game against the Tennessee Titans scheduled for Dec. 17.

Fox News reported that Quinnen Williams, the Jets player who tackled rookie Texans signal-caller Stroud before his concussion, denied being a dirty player and requested prayers for Stroud's recovery via social media.
