Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Jay Riskind to the Texas Public Finance Authority for a term set to expire on February 1, 2029. Riskind, hailing from Austin, is the president of The Riskind Group and the managing partner and co-chair of Fractal Holdings.

Riskind's involvement extends beyond his professional roles. He serves as the chair of The Riskind Foundation and is a board member of The Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University (GW). He also has a history of contributing to various committees and foundations, including his past roles as chair of the Shangrila Farms Ltd. Steering Committee and board member of the Yunnan Mountain Heritage Foundation.

Furthermore, Riskind has experience in academia, having served as a former entrepreneur in residence at Zhejiang University School of Business. His affiliations also include being an enterprise club member of the American Enterprise Institute and a member of the International Franchise Association. Riskind's educational background comprises a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from GW.
