Here is a note from my foster family!

Contestant #1, tell us a little about yourself.

-My name is Scrappy and I'm about a year old. I like long walks (but I admit I need some work on my leash manners).

What is your ideal day?

-I could play fetch all day long. I love playing with other dogs, and I've never met a squeaky toy I didn't want to de-fluff! We could snuggle on the sofa and enjoy snacks (treats for me, snacks for you).

If people had to describe you in one word, what would it be and why?

-Some might call me "shy", but I'm actually not! I do like a little bit of time to warm up to new people, though. After one day in foster care, I couldn't get enough snuggles and kisses. I will turn into your shadow and if you're lucky, I'll even give you a kiss!!

Tell us a few fun facts about yourself.

-I know how to sit! I am crate trained (my foster parents have to kennel me while they are at work and I'm happy as a clam in there). I am heartworm negative, I don't like peanut butter, and I'm very gentle with cats! I've been with my foster family for a week and they haven't heard me bark a single time!

Hi! I'm Scrappy. I recently went on a Doggy Day Out around Houston. Here is what my buddy had to say about me:

I'm a little shy at first, but once I get a chance to warm up to you I am such a sweet boy!

I know how to sit and do great riding in the car, but I do need to work on my leash manners a little bit.

Super dog friendly and loved having the chance to play in the yard with another dog!

I really enjoy playing fetch and have no problem giving my ball back to you.
